Since I haven't seen a moose and don't really believe they exist I figure I would give it a try.

By far worth the trip for the adventurous.

Lake Isabelle via Pawnee Pass Trail is a 5.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Ward, Colorado that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. I would recommend it for sure, just be ready for the hard part almost to the lake. There’s a shortcut a little ways up from the gate, although be ready to go straight uphill. Remember that hydration is very important at higher elevations. Lots of variety on this one.

last mile is a killer. still a lot of snow towards the top, my corgi and i didn’t quite make it all the way up cause it got too deep. Like other people said, it's easier coming down then going up, as far as markers go, did get off trail a couple times, so I just pulled my phone and looked at the trail map here and was able to get back on track. Didn’t see single person, no snow. I wish I had brought a trash bag though to pick up litter. We walked past the trail on the logging road and had to turn around once I looked at my GPS and realized it.

LaVeta is a small town about 65 miles south of Pueblo near the Spanish Peaks.

It's not a strenuous hike but is a good way to take in the lake when not fishing. Just beyond the wilderness boundary the path connects with the Jean Lunning Trail. Bing Maps has a collection of great trails with directions to trail heads as well as photos. After the fee station,  drive another 3.2 miles to a split in the road where you'll turn left to reach the Long Lake Trailhead. At just over 2.3 miles is  Isabelle Glacier Trail junction.

Marsh Lake Campground to Hessie Lake - Utah | AllTrails. From the lake's edge you can take in Abiel Peak to the southwest and Silver Peak to the east, as well as a waterfall descending into the lake's east shore.

Although it's upper half does duty as a segment of the famous Groom Creek Loop, the Isabella Trail (#377) is probably one of the lesser-known trails in the Bradshaw Mountains.

The walk up is just a gravel road for a couple of miles, the final pitch is STEEP, some proper scrambling but only in a couple spots. Not hiking but a nice walk around the lake. Canon City is the third oldest city in the State of Colorado and residents are proud of its history.

There are many spectacular alpine lakes in the Colorado Rockies, but there are perhaps few that match the picturesque splendor of Lost Lake, a poorly-advertised but easily-accessible lake near Cottonwood Pass in central Colorado. The camp ground at the lake and parts of the trail towards the top are some of the most peaceful places I've been to on a hike! Was a bit of a nightmare.
